The braided rope is ultra-soft and flexible, making them extremely comfortable. They are primarily intended as a soother for indoor use, but can also be used outdoors in dry weather. Wear them with or without socks, inside or out - there are no rules.

If you want to wash your slippers or sandals, just do it. You can put them in the washing machine (in a laundry bag), you can put them in a tub of water and vinegar (yep, it works) or you can rinse them with the garden hose. The most important thing, however, is that you let them dry thoroughly. It is best done out in the sun or other warm places.

Slippers and sandals are handmade by women - on Fair Trade terms - from small local communities in Nicaragua. Buying a pair of sandals or slippers has a direct positive impact on the women who work daily to produce them.
