Do you know the feeling from the movie Titanic "I AM THE KING OF THE WORLD"? That's kind of how I feel. Not because I feel "king-like", but because I feel that an important positive development is taking place and accelerating. And I feel so incredibly lucky and privileged to help make it happen and to be right in the middle of it happening.
What gives me that feeling?
I have two jobs. First, I am the owner of Molly's Heart . Next, I am a part of Invest for Impact Denmark . And quite frankly…. Both jobs are exactly the coolest and most rewarding jobs (for me).
Both jobs mean that I find myself in environments where I meet so many inspiring, talented and ambitious people who all work for; USING INVESTMENT AND BUSINESS TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
Molly's Heart is a small example of this. Invest for Impact Denmark is a great example of this.
The last few days have been particularly full of inspiration, commitment and ambitions. On Thursday I started the morning at Dun & Bradstreet , where I was to speak on Sustainability and Environmental Concerns in an Investment Perspective. In addition to me also spoke Frank Vorrath from Danfoss , Anders Frandsen from Pandora , Christian Anders Elkjær honor and Alicia Heavisides from D&B. Thank you for your inspiring presentation and thank you to D&B for an engaging morning.
After that I moved on to Finansforeningen/CFA Society Denmark where Lasse Heje Pedersen spoke about "In search of the True Greenium" and Jesper Berg about "ESG ratings - what do they measure - the answer is blowing in the wind". Lots of notes were taken. Thanks.
The day ended with a visit to Active Owners - Active Owners Denmark and Danish Impact Committee at Matrikel 1, where lots of passionate impact actors were gathered. Super ending to a lovely day. Thanks.
And as if that wasn't enough, yesterday I was invited to Danske Bank 's Africa event where there were a lot of impact investors (including BESTSELLER FOUNDATION by O. Rodney Carew , Henrik Kähler etc.), impact companies and impact funds (e.g. Nordic Impact Funds / Lisbeth Stausholm Zacho ) was gathered. Thanks Stine Jersie Olsen for an inspiring and motivating morning.
And thus enriched, motivated and committed, I go to today's work.
I'm on a mission 🌍
PS. The picture is from another apartment where I also felt like "King of the World". It was when I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with my girlfriend Brit Løth Baker five years ago.
PS. Cool that I still go with a headlamp in full daylight 🤣
