International Women's Day of Struggle; are we helping the hard struggles of African women?

International Women's Day is approaching. We all, regardless of gender, ethnicity and age, have different battles to fight in our lives.

Some of the big battles I see are the battles women are fighting in many places on the African continent. In small village communities where neither women's nor human rights are present, where every day is a struggle to provide a safe environment for the family and to ensure the children a minimum of schooling and to avoid illness, great battles are fought.

It is such hard-fighting women who make all the basket products at Molly's Heart . We buy their goods at 5-10 times the price they can get in the local markets.

And what does that really mean? Are we helping their fight?

Yes, we do. Through 2023, Molly's Heart has 100% supported and improved the lives of 251 people. Of these, 188 are children.

A fair cooperation between companies with purchasing power in e.g. Denmark and hardworking women in poor areas means helping women and their families out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. We make their struggle easier.

No one can help everyone, but we can all help someone.

Thanks for reading along.
