Molly's Heart and Music for Rent

The summer holidays are just around the corner, and for me and my family this means, among other things, that we participate in Music in Lejet 's three-day music festival. It is an annual event where we meet with lots of friends and across generations. We enjoy the music, the beach and Tisvildeleje. I know that Music for Rent / Good Boys Agency is an organization where social responsibility is very important and that significant sums are donated to social causes every year. Last year I reached out Jesper Gísli from Music for Rent to hear if they would support a social project in Africa 🌍 They would. By ❤️ thank you 🙏

Millions of people in Burkina Faso are in urgent need of humanitarian aid. Access to food, water, electricity and health services is severely limited, and therefore many flee to neighboring countries - including Senegal.

Molly's Heart have had many canvas tote bags sewn in Dakar (Senegal). They are sewn by refugees from Burkina Faso. The bags are their only income 💰 They are, of course, sewn under Fair Trade conditions (i.e. I have paid about 10 times more for the bags than they would normally be able to sell them for in markets and along the road), and therefore each bag is helping to make a real positive difference. One bag feeds a family for approx. 10 days.

I am grateful that Music for Rent have chosen to buy some of the bags and thereby support the project. I hope that many of the festival guests buy a bag when they are at the festival.
