These elegant bronze sculptures were created by Burkinabé artist Soré.
Bronze work is a traditional craft in Burkina Faso. The bronze comes from reusing old fittings, such as faucets or parts from air conditioning units. The artist first creates a wax model, which is covered with a sand mixture of clay and manure and dried. The mold is then fired, the wax melts and flows out through the holes.
