Brass art, Baobab tree in recycled brass. Made Fair Trade in Burkina Faso
The wildest handicraft. All the trees are unique. The process starts with the artist making a figure in clay. Letting it dry and then dipping it in a vessel with brass. When everything is dry, the clay is carefully knocked out and the brass shell is filled with brass.
The baobab tree, often called the "tree of life," has deep symbolic meaning in many African cultures and traditions.
With its deep roots and impressive crown, the baobab tree often represents the connection between earth and heaven, and it is considered in some places a sacred tree that connects the material and spiritual planes.
Due to the tree's massive size and its role as a gathering point, it also symbolizes community, solidarity, and togetherness. The baobab tree serves as a meeting place for discussions, ceremonies, and communal activities.
They are available in four sizes and look beautiful next to each other or separately.
