The beautiful bedspreads are woven on old jacquard looms and are woven by Syrians on the run. Being allowed to weave gives the refugees a sense of normality and it gives them economic opportunities to sustain life.

According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, there are currently over 100 million people on the run - many from Syria. When people flee, they often lose their jobs and livelihoods. At Molly's Heart, we want to create jobs for people who don't have many opportunities through the sale of these beautiful bedspreads. Refugees should not only be dependent on aid and assistance, but also have the opportunity to earn their own money.
