The most beautiful organic traditional Senegal laundry baskets. All the baskets are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size, color and pattern.

The curves come in two variants; the traditional (with a thin recycled plastic string) and the organic baskets (with palm "string").

XL: 68 cm high without lid, 85 cm with lid and 50 cm in diameter
Large: 58 cm high without lid, 75 cm with lid and 45 cm in diameter

The traditional baskets with one or more colors are woven with a colored plastic thread and thereby the beautiful pattern that characterizes Senegal baskets appears. The plastic thread is made from recycled plastic.

The organic baskets are woven with straw and threads made from the leaves of the Bismarck palm, which are split up so they can be used to weave with.

Our baskets are Fair Trade produced by a number of women from the Theis Region approx. 122 km north of Dakar, Senegal. These women work hard to provide for their families. Either they work on our products, or they work cultivating their fields. Most of the women's villages do not yet have electricity and water, ie. they have to walk more than 5 kilometers to charge their phones and fetch water using donkeys or horses. Basket weaving has long been the means of earning extra money in addition to cultivating the fields.
