Beautiful handwoven baskets that can be used for bread, fruit or as beautiful decoration.

The woven dishes/baskets are purchased under Fair Trade conditions directly from the women who weave them. All baskets are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size.

Background: Our baskets are carefully handcrafted by women from the Thies region, approximately 122 km north of Dakar in Senegal. These women work hard to support their families by either weaving baskets or cultivating their fields. Many of the villages still lack basic amenities such as electricity and water. Basket weaving has long been an important source of income, helping the women earn extra money and create better living conditions for their families.
