Woman with book – bronze sculpture, gold-coloured dress, size 25 cm

Second quality: The figure is slightly leaning forward.
This sculpture was created by the artist Soré from Burkina Faso.

Working with bronze is a traditional craft in Burkina Faso. The bronze comes from recycled old fittings, such as faucets or parts from air conditioning systems. The artist first makes a wax model, which is covered with a mixture of sand, clay, and manure. Once the mold is dry, it is fired so that the wax melts and runs out through the openings.

Size: Approx. 25 cm.
