Seated woman with water – bronze sculpture, black dress, 15 cm

This sculpture was created by the artist Karim Sana from Burkina Faso.

The artist begins by shaping a sculpture in wax. It is covered with a mixture of clay and manure and left to dry. The mould is then fired so that the wax melts and runs out through small openings. Molten metal alloy is then poured into the mould, replacing the wax. Once the metal has cooled, the mould is broken to release the sculpture, and the final details are finished by hand. Each piece is therefore completely unique.

Size: approx. 15 cm. Weight: approx. 250 g.
