The most beautiful handiwork. Densely and tightly braided so that the laundry basket does not lose its shape over time. Original laundry baskets are woven by Ghanaian women on Danish Fair Trade terms. The laundry baskets have a black leather handle and the ashtray basket comes in three sizes:
Large: Approx. 42 cm. in diameter + 53 cm. high Medium: Approx. 39 cm. in diameter + 50 cm. high Small: Approx. 35 cm. in diameter + 47 cm. high
The majority of the producers are vulnerable women who can neither read nor write and who primarily live by selling baskets. The area where the baskets are produced, Bolgatanga in northern Ghana, is characterized by extreme poverty.
There are Danish designers and artisans during the process, so the look and style are adapted to the Danish market.
